About "Morning light in the Aya Sofia, Istanbul"

About the artwork

Istanbul's Aya Sofia is one of those places where history and architecture come together in a way you won't soon forget. In this photo, the golden morning light is captured by the imposing dome and ornate windows. The space is bathed in warm, yellow hues, while monumental signs with Arabic calligraphy add depth to the image. What fascinated me about this moment was the interplay of light, colour and shadow: the ancient details come to life and each corner tells its own story.

My inspiration for this shot came from the serenity you feel when walking around the Aya Sofia. Despite the bustle outside, there is a special peace inside. You experience the grandeur of the building and its rich history, dating back to the Byzantine and Ottoman eras. The combination of soft light, high vaults and beautiful decorations almost made me feel like I was taking a trip back in time.

This piece brings a unique atmosphere and worldly elegance to your home. Perfect for lovers of architecture, culture and special destinations. The image gives any room a sense of grandeur and mystique.

About Roy Poots

In 2009 Roy Poots bought his very first SLR camera, a Canon EOS 450D. After having photographed everything for a while, he realised that he liked landscapes, architecture and (nocturnal) cityscapes the most by far. Since then, he has devoted himself to these subjects.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
