At the centre is an old half-timbered house whose beams and plaster bear the patina of decades. Photographed in black and white, it looks like a memory that resists oblivion. The clear lines of the half-timbered structure are not just architectural heritage - they are also traces of life: of hands that built, of voices that lived there. The roof leans slightly, as if bending to the wind, and the brickwork seems to whisper stories.
In the foreground, a half-grown brick pillar frames the picture, as if standing like a silent companion on the threshold between past and present. The vegetation appears restrained, almost reverent towards the old masonry, which asserts its place - not loudly, but with a quiet presence.
This third picture rounds off the series like a final note in a song about home and change. It shows not just a house, but a contemporary witness: weathered, but not broken. "Der alte Kotten" ends with a picture that does not close, but keeps it open - for memories, for questions, for the poetry of life lived.
