"Natural forms of the heart of a Tragopogon" is a macro photo in which I chose a very small depth-of-field. This means that only a very small part in the photo is in focus and everything in front and behind this point gradually fades out. This gives abstraction in the photo and a calmness. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see this. Only the points where the two tufts merge into the stalk and a bit of the seeds are sharp. This fuzziness in this photo gives the tranquillity and a natural feel. It also creates a sense of depth in the work.
A Tragopogon is also known as Morning Star in the Netherlands. This plant is related to the dandelion. Like the dandelion, this plant also develops a ball of fluff when the flower has finished flowering. Only the fluff is different.
The subject and colours ensure that this work could hang beautifully in, for example, a rural interior.
