"Nature in a Square: The fluff in front of the heart" is a macro photo of part of a fluff ball of a Tragopogon. I have taken the photo so that the middle fluff ball extends into the heart behind it. If you zoom in on the photo you can see this clearly.
The colours in this photo are natural and the wood-coloured stems and seeds of the Tragopogon, give it a warm natural look.
Like the dandelion, a Tragopogon belongs to the Composite family. Like a dandelion, the flower of a Tragopogon turns into a ball of fluff when it has finished flowering. These fluffy balls just have a different shape and structure. When photographing, I set my camera so that the centre of the middle fluff is in focus, and everything before and behind it gradually fades out. As a result, you can see the outline of the heart behind the fluff, but faintly, and this gives you a sense of depth and calm in the photo.
This photo can hang beautifully as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or of course just above the sofa!
