Artist impression of the planet Night Watch and the star Starry Night at 910 light years from Earth. The two celestial bodies were named after the famous paintings by Rembrandt and Van Gogh, as part of the International Astronomical Union's NameExoWorlds campaign.
What Night Watch looks like is as yet unknown. That the planet is a red-white-blue gas giant like in this artist impression is therefore completely speculative. But the contrary will not be proven in the foreseeable future.
