The paddle wheel pumping station De Oude Horn on the Culemborgse Vliet in Acquoy, Gelderland province, was built in 1859 to remove the water from the polder. Originally it was powered by steam and later by electricity. Since 1962 it is no longer used as such and the building has been used for a different purpose.
For over 50 years working on photography, but only really got the taste after my retirement. Now I only have the time and the peace to really look around and discover and record beautiful things. On this site you can see some of my most beautiful photos, but also check out my Flickro domain https://www.flickr.com/photos/10989519@N06/. There are many more there. A Flickr photo can usually also be delivered via this website. Just ask for it and state the name and recording date of the photo as stated by Flickr! I will post the photo on this site so that it can be delivered.
