This 46 meter high and 12 meter wide waterfall, which flows into a hidden pool, is one of the most accessible large waterfalls on the island. "Opaeka'a" means "rolling shrimp" - these were once abundant in the river. Walking up the hill from the Opaeka'a viewpoint and then crossing the road, you reach another beautiful view of the Wailua River valley and the plain beyond.
