Nowhere is the experience of impermanence and decay more intense than in a cemetery.
I found this old tomb in the cemetery of Sant Feliu de Guixols, a village on Spain's Costa Brava.
The ornament is showing cracks, crumbling, losing its paint. I love these scars of decay. These traces of history, give the ornament historical value, it acquires the status of exclusivity.
This decorative artefact from a distant past would match perfectly with a contemporary, minimalist interior.
