During my tour of Kyrgyzstan, we drove from Bokonbajevo to Lake Son Kul one day.
Located on the Song Kul plateau at a whopping 3016 metres above sea level, Lake Son Kul is the geographical centre of Kyrgyzstan.
But to get there, we had to drive over mountains and through valleys via winding, mostly tarmac-less, roads.
And then you constantly have views like the one in this picture.
I really liked the route.
