Pastel colour: Drops on a hyacinth" is a macro photo of water droplets on a hyacinth petal. Because it is only a very small part that was photographed, and the focus is on a small part, the result is an image you don't immediately recognise: abstraction. The colours in this work are mainly pastel blue (in some parts going towards turquoise and purple). This work could be described as modern abstract, but because the focus is on a few drops, there is still something to hold on to in the work, something recognisable, so you feel something of recognition!
The round shapes in this work give it something soft and calm, and the pastel colours reinforce this.
This work could, for example, be beautifully hung as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or, of course, just above the sofa
