About the artwork

This corridor in an old abandoned hospital draws the viewer into a world of decay and silence. The abandoned rooms with their green-framed doors and the subdued light lend the corridor a mysterious, almost magical aura. The interplay of light and shadow, which is emphasised by the broken ceiling tiles and the dust on the floor, creates the feeling that time has stood still here. Scraps of paper and traces of previous use are scattered across the floor and bear witness to a bygone era. What might be hidden behind the doors? This image leaves open questions about the stories that may have once taken place here. The corridor seems to lead into the unknown and invites the viewer to explore the mysteries of this lost place and experience the adventure of urban exploration. The green accents emphasise the natural colour palette and create a contrast that brings the abandoned corridor to life.
