This urban, modern architectural landscape in Berlin's government district on the banks of the Spree shows the Paul Löbe House and was taken at night with the Nikon D90. The nocturnal cityscape is shot on a tripod using the long exposure technique.
The nocturnal, calm and quiet surroundings give the motif a remarkable, graphic line as well as a modern, elegant and timeless atmosphere.
Only a few metres away from the Reichstag building is the Paul Löbe House. Named after the last democratic Reichstag president of the Weimar Republic, the light-filled building in the Spree-Bogen is part of the "Band des Bundes" (Ribbon of the Federation), which connects the two parts of the capital formerly separated by the Wall across the Spree. The "Band des Bundes" consists of the new Chancellery, the Paul Löbe House on the west side of the river and the Marie-Elisabeth Lüders House on the east side.
