About the artwork

Pelicans can weigh up to 14 kilos. They grow up to 1.80 metres long and can have a wingspan of 3 metres and reach an age of 35 years. The two Eurasian species (the pink pelican and the crowned pelican) are among the largest flying birds.

Way of life[edit]
Pelicans are piscivorous; their food consists of fish, although in times of food shortage there have been cases of pelicans eating the chicks of the gannet[2]. A group of pelicans hunts together. Exuberant wing flapping drives a school of fish to shallow water. Pelicans have a large bill and a large throat pouch (between the base of the bill and the throat). When a pelican sees prey, it scoops the fish out of the water. When he lifts his head the water goes away and the fish stays behind.

Besides hunting together, pelicans are social birds. They breed in colonies, where they sit close together. In captivity, they only start breeding when there are at least eight of them. source wikipedia

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
