Peter Paul Rubens (1577 ? 1640) was a Flemish Baroque painter, draughtsman and diplomat, working in Antwerp. Rubens' style belongs to the Antwerp School of the early 17th century. Rubens' oeuvre is characterised by the triumphalist Counter-Reformation Baroque. Rubens is probably the most important representative of the Flemish Baroque, although he clearly underwent an Italian influence.Source: wikipedia.org
