On the beach at Schoorl aan Zee, there are these pile heads that serve as breakwaters with the aim of keeping the ebb and flow of the tide off the coast. That way, the waves roll onto the beach more gently, preventing the beach from wearing away.
Because these piles are not located directly at a beach entrance, it is often nice and quiet. Such was the case this evening. Well before sunset, I was already there to enjoy the peace and quiet, the beauty of the Dutch coastline, and to determine some compositions in advance. So it was possible during this beautiful sunset to take several photos from various angles (see my other photos in this shop). For this photo, I chose to make the lines of the poles, the horizon and the clouds roughly the same.
Want to bring the beach feeling into your home? Then this photo might be for you.
