"Pop of colour: Together until the end" is a macro photo of leaves I found in Lanzarote. These leaves had fallen from the bush and were already quite dried by the Spanish sun. The plant these leaves came from is the Bougainvillea (a plant that unfortunately cannot grow in the Netherlands because it cannot stand the cold). This plant has cheerfully coloured bracts, these are around the real flowers. Here you can see those coloured bracts. The colours had softened by drying in the sun but I have brought them back a bit in this work, to the original colour of the bracts. (There are also works for sale in my Werk aan de Muur shop with the pastel colours).
The leaves lie on a separate surface, mirroring them in an abstract way. The mirror image looks almost painterly. If you zoom in on the picture, this is easy to see.
This cheerfully coloured work could hang beautifully in the dining room, kitchen or simply above the bed in the bedroom, for example!
