This canvas is the counterpart to the portrait of her brother Martinus. Like him, Clara is depicted as a shepherdess under a tree, surrounded by sheep. In her hand she holds a staff and flowers. The bow and quiver of arrows in the foreground refer to hunting. Her festive fancy dress gives the scene a timeless character.
