Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.
Still nothing? Open this page in Chrome or Safari. AR does not work in the browser of apps such as Instagram or Facebook.

About ‘Postboxes along Route 66’ by Retinas images

This distinctive black-and-white photograph shows a row of American postboxes in a hilly landscape along Route 66. The simple postboxes stand as recognisable objects by the roadside and form a striking contrast with the open space, the rolling hills and the vast sky in the background. The image evokes the atmosphere of a tranquil road trip through the American heartland.

The monochrome image really brings out the shapes, lines and textures. The postboxes tell us something about everyday life along this famous route, whilst the landscape lends the photograph a sense of freedom and space. The composition combines an everyday detail with a recognisable slice of American culture and history. It is precisely this simplicity that makes the image timeless and inviting.

This photographic wall art fits well in a rustic, industrial or modern interior. The piece looks particularly good in a living room, study, hall, office, travel room or man cave. Fans of Route 66, road trips, America, black-and-white photography and iconic landscapes will appreciate the combination of nostalgia, simplicity and vastness. An atmospheric eye-catcher for anyone who wants to bring the freedom of the open road and the American landscape onto their wall.
