On the beach at Terschelling, I was photographing the setting sun. I turned around and saw to my surprise these purple clouds appearing over the North Sea. So it pays to regularly look back from what you are photographing, that way you come across unexpected beautiful moments.
In the foreground you can still vaguely see the marram grass of the dunes and beach. In the distance, the horizon with a strip of clear sky just above it.
Everyone wants this atmospheric and calming image in their bedroom.
