About the artwork
"Purple - old pink flower of a Zeeland Knot (Astrantia Major) with reflection " is a macro photo of a Zeeland Knot lying on a mirrored surface. This causes the underside of the flower to reflect, creating a surprising image.
In the reflective surface there are lines and stripes in a few places, which make the reflection change in a special way.
When taking this picture, I chose a shallow depth of field, so the front "flowers" are in focus and the further back you look the fainter they become.
A high-contrast scene / still life, which exudes a sense of warmth and also, despite the contrast, something of tranquillity. Besides fuchsia, the main colours in this work are purple, old pink, green and cream.
This work could hang beautifully as a wall decoration in the bedroom, kitchen, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office waiting room or practice room!
