"Close-up of a dandelion fluff ball" is a macro photo of a fluff ball of a common Dandelion. I photographed this fluff ball so that the focus is on the heart of the middle fluff (where the heart of the Dandelion is right behind it). Because the heart of the Dandelion is in the centre, the fluff runs off the heart like rays (hence the title "Radiant fluff ball". The background has a turquoise - petrol blue background, which makes the white - cream-coloured fluff stand out nicely from the background.
Due to the central heart of the sphere, this photo is almost symmetrical, which I feel gives a calmness to this work. If you zoom in on the photo, you can clearly see the details of the picture.
Dandelions are one of my favourite subjects to photograph. In the Netherlands, they can be found everywhere and they can be photographed in so many different ways that it offers almost endless possibilities. If you go to my shop and look in the folder "Fluff ball: The fluff of the dandelion" you will see many more photos'of dandelions, maybe a nice idea to combine this photo!
