The transience of a straw flower is reminiscent of the surface of the sun where all sorts of things also happen that we don't usually see. The flower releases the seed fluff to go with the wind to provide offspring that will provide beautiful flowers again next year.
This macro photo has a deliberately limited sharpness. In the front of the photo, the fluff and the flower are sharp and then comes the blur which detaches the flower from the background and makes the photo more three-dimensional.
