About ‘Rain light on the station square’ by Werner Lerooy

At night and rain, the station square at Martelarenplein in Leuven shows its most atmospheric side. The wet cobblestones turn into a reflective surface in which light, architecture and city come together. The historical station stands firm and dignified in the centre of the picture, surrounded by soft light accents.

The rain softens the contours of the city and brings tranquillity to the scene. Details of the facade and surroundings are subtly reflected at street level, so that above and below seem to meet. The image breathes silence, despite the urban context.

As a work of art on the wall, this picture works recognisably and reassuringly. It evokes memories of evening walks, of wet streets and warm lights. The historical architecture gives the image a timeless quality, while the reflections anchor the moment in the now.
An understated nightscape where heritage and everyday life come together - atmospheric, balanced and inviting.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
