From mid-August to mid-September is the red deer rut in the Netherlands. The males (stags) look for a pack of females to try to reproduce themselves. They try to keep other stagsat bay by bubbling. The heather is still blooming and the purple glow stands out against the dark forest edge. This is the habitat of the red deer. Sometimes hidden in the woods, sometimes visible on the heath.
The feeling of power from the animals is enormous. That is exactly what this image shows. By looking at the same height as the deer, you get the feeling of facing the deer and experience the power even more.
