About ‘Road to Monument Valley’ by Steve Henderson

It is a valley or rocks -- big, massive, monumental rocks that, from a distance, look like skyscrapers and castles.

Monument Valley, located on the border of Arizona and Utah in the United States, is a place of vastness and expanse, a landscape of wonder. Oh, I'm sure you can bring it down to nothing by chattering "scientifically" and saying how this event and that, a couple billion years ago, resulted in the formation of such structures and it's really not a big deal, but then again, if you look at the world that way then nothing is impressive, nothing makes you stand there like an idiot with your jaw hanging open in amazement.

(Because, you know, we don't always have to look cool and bored.)

The artwork, The Road to Monument Valley, invites you to get into your car and start driving along a grey ribbon that heads, relatively straight but with a few bends, into the heart of a most monumental place, one where you can stand with your jaw hanging open and and simply be amazed about the majesty of it all.
