The Arch of Constantine is a triumphal arch with three gates in Rome. It was erected in honour of the Emperor Constantine in memory of his victory over his opponent Maxentius at the Milvian Bridge in 312.
The Arch of Constantine is located in the immediate vicinity of the Colosseum.

The construction of the Colosseum in Rome was begun by Emperor Vespasian in 72 AD. It was opened in the year 80 with games lasting 100 days.
