I took this photo in the summer from the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam looking over the Erasmus Bridge towards the Boompjeskade and Willemsbrug. The cruise ship the Zuiderdam was docked at the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam. The photo's point of view brings out the imposing size of the ship. In the background, the Erasmus Bridge and the high-rise buildings of Rotterdam city centre are visible so it is clear in which place the MS Zuiderdam was at the time of the photo. It was a very windy day so the waters of the Nieuwe Maas showed hefty waves. It was sunny though with blue skies and typical Dutch sheep clouds.
