From the Wilhelminakade at the bottom of the Erasmus Bridge you have this great view towards "de Hef", a popular Rotterdam name for the Koningshavenbrug. Every Rotterdammer knows this nickname for the steel railway bridge that creates a train connection between the Noordereiland and the centre of Rotterdam. From this vantage point, you can also see the tall Maastoren and to the right next to it, the Courthouse, or the Rechtbank.

The photo was taken at a time when there was a street exhibition with portraits of people who played an important role as freedom fighters.
