The Willemsbrug is a familiar concept to every resident of Rotterdam.
The bridge connects the North Island with the inner city of Rotterdam and is a characteristic feature, which is especially striking when the lights in the city are on. That's why this picture was taken at the beginning of the blue hour. The red colour of the bridge was designed by Auke de Vries in consultation with the architect of the bridge: Cor Veeling.
