The first rays of sun shine across the heath, carefully dispelling the morning mist on this beautiful summer day in August. The whimsical stems of the rowan tree bend towards the ground as if to greet the heather. The berries provide little orange colour accents amidst all that purple. A few clouds pass over. The soft skimming light creates an atmospheric sunrise on the big quiet heath. This is summer at its best.
