This picture was taken on 11 June 2016 during the Air Force Days at Leeuwarden airbase.
The first eight Royal Netherlands Air Force F-35s were built by Lockheed Martin. Registrations F-001 and F-002 are test aircraft and are in the United States, as are F-003 to F-008 used for training pilots at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. The aircraft with registration from F-009 onwards are built under licence in Italy.
