About ‘'Rulea'’ by Kim Rijntjes

Her textile works can be described as figurative, with a touch of realism, created using mixed media. They are characterised by an emotional charge and provoke questions. During the creative process, elements of alienation emerge, which are either incorporated into or omitted from her work. Recurring themes include female figures, sensuality, strength and vulnerability, with Kim allowing the structure of various materials – with textiles playing a leading role – to come into its own. She studied Monumental Design at the Academy of Visual Arts (Maastricht Institute of Arts)

Room for personal interpretation… Kim believes it is important that her work allows room for the viewer’s own interpretation, so that the art she creates sets its own story in motion. For this reason, she prefers not to provide her works with text or titles, so that questions remain unanswered. She believes her work should be viewed without prejudice. Her art is inspired by life; in it, you encounter wonder, sadness and happiness. The loose threads represent growth & change.

Kim Rijntjes , graduated in Monumental Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht.
Her works are mainly made of textile. She brings with her work a sense of power and vulnerability, without being sentimental. She takes you into a world of emotions in which she experiments with various materials. The themes of love, security and the growth of the child into adulthood are particularly well represented.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
