"Rural serenity: The fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon" is a photo of a piece of a beautiful fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon. This plant is also called Morning Star in the Netherlands and is very similar to a common Dandelion. As with the Dandelion, the spent flower turns into a fluffy bulb.
In this photo, you can see the heart of such'a fluff ball and the seeds with fluff. The light falls nicely on the fluffy seeds on the right-hand side. This gives the photo something warm and sunny.
When taking this photo, I chose a shallow depth of field. As a result, the focus is on a piece of the fluff ball and everything in front and behind it gradually fades away (the focus is on the fluff which runs in a diagonal line to the top right corner, at the transition from stalk to fluff). This gives a kind of calmness to the picture by creating a sense of depth. Indeed, as the background becomes increasingly blurred, it attracts less attention. If you zoom in on the work, you can see how this looks.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on e.g. aluminium or ArtFrame) in the kitchen, dining room or just above the sofa! (Of course also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!)
