"Rural tranquillity: The fluff of a Morning Star" is a photo of a small piece of a beautiful fluffy bulb of a Tragopogon (In the Netherlands, this plant is also called a Morning Star). This flower is very similar to an ordinary Dandelion. When the flower has finished flowering, it turns into a fluffy bulb. The fluff of a Tragopogon is only different from that of a dandelion. They have a kind of cobweb-like structure that allows the wind to easily carry them to a new place. This allows the seeds, which are attached to the fluff, to spread easily.
The warm woody colours of this morning star and the light falling on the fluff create a very calm, natural atmosphere in the photo. The camera's chosen settings also create a depth of field where the fluff in the top right corner and part of the seeds and heart are in focus, and everything in front and behind them is gradually blurred. This creates a sense of calm and depth in the work. If you zoom in on the picture, you can see this beautifully!
This work can hang beautifully on the wall in, for example, the bedroom, dining room, bedroom or just above the sofa in the living room!
