The Santa Catalina monastery complex is a town within the city of Arequipa. It consists of more than 100 houses, dozens of streets, several plazas and a church. It was founded in 1580 by a wealthy woman who became a nun and has been open to the public since 1970

I am Antwan Janssen, travel and nature photographer from Uden. During my many travels on this globe I try to capture all the beauty on photo. As you can see on this site my preference goes to landscapes, wildlife but also to the local population, mostly abroad but certainly also in our beautiful Netherlands. In recent years, several of my photos have won awards in both national and international photo competitions.
