I took this photo on the former island of Schokland in the Northeast Polder, I was standing near where the harbour used to be. It was the northern part of this former island in the Zuiderzee. The evening before I took this photo it had snowed, there was a thin layer of snow. The rear building belongs to the lightkeeper/port master and the front building was for the foghorn, in between is a lighthouse made of a metal skeleton. They are one of the few monumental buildings in the Northeast Polder. To the left of the photo, you can see a concrete cycle path. Even though the weather was nice when I took this photo, there were veil clouds hanging over it. For this photo, I put my camera on a tripod and used a polarisation filter, the polarisation filter not only made the sky bluer but also made the wet cycle path reflect less light. I chose to crop this photo in 16:9.
