This image consists of three images: one picture of a cormorant on a tree stump in the water and two pictures with trees placed over it. You do not know right away if the world you are looking at is possible because it does look fairly realistic, perhaps it was a foggy day. Still, the whole thing looks rather fairy-tale and magical. The colours of the cormorant, which is considered a rather dull bird anyway, come out beautifully. It is a forest to dream away in.

As an "experience photographer" I want to capture feelings in images, whether it's a landscape, an animal, a portrait or a concert. In my photographs I want to show my involvement, feeling for the subject and the atmosphere of the moment. Photography has been my passion for a long time. In order to increase my skills, a few years ago I followed the vocational training at the Fotovakschool. Besides my job as a psychologist and my passion for nature photography I also work on commission: business photography, portrait and family shoots, weddings and much more. I also have a lot of experience with theatre and concert photography (musical, orchestra, choir). All this through my company Karin de Jonge-Fotografie. I am also a photographer of funerals at my other company Blijvende Beelden. Sometimes you have moments that "click" and that make you very happy.
