Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Shark @ Komodo, Indonesia’ by Travel Tips and Stories

You can indeed encounter sharks in Komodo National Park in Indonesia. It is one of the most biodiverse diving areas in the world. You will usually spot reef sharks whilst diving or snorkelling, such as the whitetip, blacktip and nurse sharks.

The sharks in Komodo are generally shy and pose no danger to swimmers and divers, as long as you keep your distance and go out with professional guides.

Shark species and hotspots
Most of the sharks in the area are reef sharks. Some well-known diving and snorkelling spots where you might encounter them are:
Castle Rock: Known for its whitetip and grey reef sharks.
Batu Balong: A spectacular rock formation where whitetip reef sharks are regularly seen swimming.
Karang Makassar: A well-known spot for spotting blacktip reef sharks.
Practical tips for your trip
Base: The island of Flores, and in particular the port town of Labuan Bajo, is the official base for all trips to Komodo National Park. Here you can find various local diving schools and tour operators, including Dutch and English-speaking organisations.
Choose your style: You can opt for day trips by speedboat from Labuan Bajo, or book a multi-day ‘liveaboard’ (diving cruise) where you spend the night on a boat. Best time to visit: The best diving conditions are generally found between May and October, during the dry season when underwater visibility is at its clearest.
