About the artwork

A simple sign made of wood and stone points the way - "Dead Vlei, 1 km". But what lies behind this short distance is an excursion into another world.

This picture captures the moment before the unreal: the moment before you reach the haunting beauty of Dead Vlei - that white clay pan with the dead, ancient camel thorn trees, framed by bright red dunes. This is where the amazement begins.

The foreground with the handmade signpost is almost like an invitation to reflect: Where is this path taking me? What will I find there? The enormous sand dunes tower in the background, the sky is cloudy, the light soft and dramatic at the same time - a mixture of expectation and awe is created.

This picture is not loud, it does not clamour for attention. And that is precisely why it draws the eye. It is a work for explorers, dreamers and desert lovers - for people who feel drawn to the unknown.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
