On Prague's Charles Bridge, a hushed moment occurs between man, animal and history.
An elderly man stands still in front of an imposing three-headed statue, his back to the camera, as if having a wordless conversation with the past. At his feet, two small dogs wait patiently; one looks up at its owner, as if trying to understand what is on his mind.
The stones of the bridge, the subtle contours of the city and the soft, slightly veiled mist give the scene a sense of time slowing down gently for a moment. The image exudes calmness, reverence and a touch of melancholy, as if life dares to stand still for a moment in that moment.
