Silhouette of a tree in warm tones by Lisette Rijkers

If you are a nature lover, you probably also enjoy walking in the woods. Every forest is different from all other forests, and in every forest you will find different trees. In my opinion, trees are fascinating and photogenic. And they are so in every season.
In spring, fresh green leaves appear on the trees. In summer, trees are beautifully covered in green leaves, but you will also notice some yellow here and there. The bright fresh green of spring is clearly no longer present. Autumn is a beautiful season. The trees change colour to all kinds of warm shades of red, orange and yellow. But trees are also beautiful in winter. It is precisely in winter that you can clearly see the powerful silhouette of a tree, which is always special to behold. The tree in this photo is a maple (Acer) and was photographed in summer.
However, the photo has been digitally edited. Beautiful autumn colours have been added, with the red colour on the left transitioning to orange in the middle and yellow on the far right of the photo. I also converted the photo into digital dots. This creates an effect known as pointillism, which is also used in painting.
By converting the photograph into thousands of dots, the summer leaves of the tree have faded and the silhouette of this maple tree comes into its own. This natural work of art is therefore a combination of three seasons. The original photograph taken in summer, the warm autumn colours added and the enhanced silhouette from winter.
