"Simple still life in square with petrol: Reflection of a Zeeland Knot"
This picture of an Astrantia Major, (in the Netherlands this plant is also called Zeeuws Knoopje) is made of just a creamy white flower of this plant lying on a reflective surface, which is not smooth. This creates an abstract reflection of the flower. If you zoom in, you can see this clearly. You can then also see how sharp the front "flowers" are.
The sharpness decreases towards the back to create a sense of depth. Besides depth, this also creates a sense of calm. The Petrol-coloured background provides a nice contrast to the flower. This makes the flower stand out beautifully. The petrol colour transitions from being uniform on the background at the top to blending into the texture of the reflection at the bottom.
Perhaps a nice idea: you can combine this square picture with one of my other square pictures's to create a photo wall.
