The photo: "Simplicity: Quarter of a yellow Gerbera with petrol background" is a macro photo of a simple yellow Gerbera. When taking this photo, I chose not to photograph the whole flower, but only about a quarter of the flower (it's a little more than a quarter if you look at the heart of the flower).
The colour of the flower together with the colour of the background makes the whole picture a happy warm one!
The focus is on the heart and the small leaves around it. If you zoom in on the photo you can see how incredibly nicely detailed this is.
Before I photographed the flower I cleaned it very well, and afterwards in post-processing I removed the last little things (like dust and fluff). (In macro photography, I almost always find this desirable with natural products, as I like to create minimalist calm photos's.
Because the depth of field in this photo is relatively small, everything behind this plane of focus gradually fades away. Again, this adds a sense of calm to the photo (and depth).
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or simply above the sofa! Also of course beautiful on the wall in a meeting room or waiting room (business)
