"Simplicity in a square: The Bull Thistle comes to bloom" is a (macro) photo of a simple Bull Thistle (This plant is also called Echinops). This thistle has already partly bloomed. The lower (front) part is still in bud. This gives a playful effect to the flower. It looks like there is a blanket of flowers partly covering the bulb.
In the background of this photo you can see an almost uniform soft old pink colour (or greyish pink towards salmon). This background colour makes the Ball Thistle, which has a blue/purple-lilac colour, stand out nicely from the background.
Because I chose a moderate depth of field when taking this photo, the front of the ball thistle is razor-sharp, and the further back you go, the blurrier it gets, this happens very gradually. As a result, the background has become almost uniform in colour.
This photo can hang beautifully as wall decoration (on Artframe or aluminium, for example) in the bedroom, dining room or simply above the sofa! (Also beautiful in business locations such as on the wall in a meeting room, office, waiting room or practice room!)
