This macro photo: "Simplicity in soft colours: A tulip with turquoise background" is a photo of a beautiful white (cream-coloured) tulip with a turquoise background. I picked this Tulip in a Tulip picking garden in the north of the Netherlands.
I then left this tulip for a while, until the petals opened up a bit more. I think this made the shape of the tulip a bit more exciting. Because of the light, the white - cream-coloured petals seem to light up a bit. If you zoom in, you can see what I mean. You can then also see how beautifully detailed this photo is, in the parts where the focus is. When taking this photo, I chose a not too large depth-of-field, so that the sharpness gradually decreases towards the back. This creates a sense of calm and depth in the photo.
This photo could, for example, hang beautifully as decoration in the bedroom, dining room or simply above the sofa in the living room!
