About the artwork

An atmospheric winter evening at the Ypeymolen in Ryptsjerk, Friesland. The sun slowly sinks behind the horizon, colouring the sky golden and orange, while skaters make one more lap across the mirror-smooth ice. The historic polder mill stands as a silent witness at the water's edge, surrounded by the soft winter light and hushed nature.

The Ypey mill, also known as the Ryptsjerkster Molen, is a characteristic symbol of the Frisian landscape. Originally built to drain the surrounding polders, today the mill is a popular landmark for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. When it freezes and the ditches freeze over, this spot turns into a picturesque winter scene reminiscent of the old Dutch masters.

The picture captures the essence of a typically Dutch moment: the simplicity, the connection with the landscape and the pure pleasure of skating in the open countryside.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
