A special time image of the Kastelplein in Breda. It is 2021. Deserted streets due to measures taken to contain the pandemic and a wintery February month, in which the Netherlands was treated to a rare patch of snow. This early evening had a beautiful sunset, followed by an intense blue colored sky, in the half hour after sunset. The blue sky reflecting on the snow-covered streets created a beautiful color contrast between the natural elements and the lights on the buildings. By also photographing the characteristic lamp on the castle square, I created a beautiful historical image, full of atmosphere and warmth.
