Whenever I walk past the tulip field, I always look for another way to capture the beauty of this Dutch pride.
The interplay of lines in this picture immediately caught my eye: oblique, dynamic, yet subtle in its simplicity.
The field seems to embrace you, as if you were standing among the tulips yourself, in the midst of the splendour that spring has to offer.
Respect for nature and the farmer's hard work are paramount. I photograph without disturbing the flowers!
I move along the edges of the tulip fields, finding different angles and trying to photograph the tulips in ways you might not normally see. The subtle lines and the play of light and shadow, are all elements that tell the story of this moment. It is precisely through this different perspective that I keep discovering the power of nature in its most refined form.
