About "Space at sea, space in your head"

About the artwork

Genuinely Dutch cloud fields over a calm sea. An image that has been painted many times in the past. and that never bores. On the way to Vlieland, the boat makes a turn around the Richel. A sandbank that lies on the southeast side of the island. And during that turn I saw this image. High fields of clouds floating in the sky, an endless sea A shifting expanse of sand in the foreground and the eastern tip of Vlieland in the background. An almost hushed landscape. While, the sea moves the sand off the island and the sandbar. The sand calves and grows. The current in the water can be brisk and clouds sometimes blow over hard. But now, in this moment, it is quiet. And spacious. The space in the landscape, the distance and the sky make your head go blank too. Space is created. Space to breathe. Space to relax. And space in your head. A feeling of freedom. Extraordinary how quickly that happens when you see sea and sky, feel the wind. I wanted to capture that feeling in this photo.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
