My approach to abstract photography is to capture an image as I actually find it around me, without trickery. By using a macro lens, you perceive elements of the world around you that we normally don't notice, but they are there.
Even after taking the picture, I don't change the image significantly. I do adjust the colours and contrast if necessary. For me, this is how the magic of the photo remains.
I want to show that the world is full of surprises and beauty, if you have an eye for it. Pieces of reality that seem to show a fairytale world on their own.
In this photo, I have left the colours very subdued. As a result, the attention now goes more to the rhythm of the slightly curved lines, which, due to their repetition, give a great dynamic to the image.
